On Sunday afternoon (1st February), an SST committee was formed at the hall room of the Sheuli Shonglap Center in Mairiala village, Ashashuni Upazila. The committee was constituted under the ACCEFS project of Satkhira Unnayan Sangstha (SUS), with assistance from Stromme Foundation Bangladesh.
The ceremony marking the formation of the committee was attended by the project’s Field Facilitator Tapos Sarkar, SUS ACCEFS Project Intern Kallol Sarker, Animator Sheuli Mondal, Peer Leader Deepika Mondal, along with local members.
The SST committee formed for the Mairiala Shiuli Dialogue Center is as follows:
President: Subhash Mondal
Vice-President: Sukumar Mondal
General Secretary: Sheuli Mondal
Executive Members: Devi Rani Mondal, Shantana Mondal, Basanti Mondal, Chanchala Mondal, and others.
Speakers at the event remarked that this committee will invigorate the activities of the Shonglap center and increase social awareness and participation at the local level.
